Not robust, but fair optical quality. Very small pen size container. I bought two pairs. But look at the pictures! I suppose I should have sent the dodgy pair back. They are small, discrete and lightweight and I can look over the top of them easily. However I have ordered many pairs as they fall apart easily. The lenses are attached to each other by small screws and nuts, the arms are attached in the same way and the nuts just work lose and fall off - the glasses end up in bits. I am constantly tightening the nuts but it's a losing battle. My friends think they are ' old people' glasses, whatever that means, but I don't care; they're simple and discrete and do the job. This is not because one eyes are getting poorer,(one assumes you get them checked) the printing is becoming small to obscure what the product contains and because there is more information to get onto the packaging. Now if you don't need prescription glasses and want something to carry around without being bulky and in a strong case that will magnify text - like print on a menu, bottle, WD40 can or on a mobile phone even; then this is an ideal product. Small, compact, neat, and unobtrusive to scatter a few around the house.
