I chose to paint mine before putting it together, which works great as long as you know which pieces are which because there are markings on them so you know that you have the right size. I actually did the second coat of paint after I put it together, which was much more difficult because of the height. I would recommend painting or staining it in some way to keep it looking nice longer. Review: Layout drawing is not accurate allow several inches - Excellent product! Two of us put it together in one day. I recommend at least 3 people if you’re less experienced. We poured concrete footings about a week before the product arrived!
