My previous monohydrate was also WellBodyNaturals and also 1kg. It served me well for months. I saw great size increases and felt way better. The problem I had with it is that no matter how much water I added, it just never seemed to dissolve completely, and sometimes I would have two liters for only one teaspoon.I figured I would give HCl a try since it dissolves way better despite the numerous complaints around the internet that it tastes TERRIBLE. I can confirm that when I first opened it, I thought there was no possible way I could drink it. It smelled awful and made me cough. It was so bad that I didn't even take a sip until after I got to the gym and ran to where I was so thirsty I had to drink something.Much to my surprise, I didn't taste a thing! My secret ingredient in my mix was lemon juice. I haven't tried it with just water, but the lemon juice completely nullified the taste and the only difference that I noticed was that there wasn't a bunch of it laying at the bottom undissolved. I find that I need less to perform just as hard if not harder and the taste is a non-issue in my lemon water mix.I expect this will last quite a bit longer than my previous bag of monohydrate so the ever so slight premium I paid up front will more than be absorbed, no pun intended, over the course of the next few months. I love Creatine Monohydrate but I seem to be one of the 10-20% of its users that experiences bloating, stomach discomfort/ irritation, and water rentension (I really don't think it's a myth, I look smoother and more puffy when taking Monohydrate even though my diet has the same calories and macros as before taking it). I decided to try this as an alternative to Monohydrate and I'm glad I did. So far I've kept the strength gains and improved recovery that I received from regular Monohydrate and have experienced none of the previously mentioned side effects. I looked and felt better a week after ditching Monohydrate and taking HCL.I really see no pitfalls of this compared to Monohydrate. Some brands sell HCL for way more than Monohydrate but this brand sells 1K grams for a pretty comparable price to what you'd get for 1K grams of Monohydrate so there's no drawback what's so ever.Some reviewers here have complained of the taste but in all honesty after the first day I didn't find it bad at all. Maybe just slightly sour but it's pretty minimal and if you put it in your protein shake you can barely taste anything, especially if your protein is chocolate. Some of these reviewers are making the taste out to be a near death experience but in my opinion they need to relax. Just give it some time. You'll find that it's not a deal breaker.To sum it up, I'm impressed with this product and will be buying more. If you're someone who suffers from any kind of negative side effects of Monohydrate Creatine give HCL and this brand a shot.
