You can use excel to measure the pixel length of the board from a screen shot by using 10 wide cells. From that you can figure out the length of the board in excel, stretch another cell to be as wide as the mouse pad. Now you know the width of the mouse pad and board in excel. Then using the total board length in inches you can extrapolate the length of the mouse pad. This is basic problem solving, not MacGyver level improvisation. **Q: How wide are the slits for the phone and tablet?** A: Wide enough for phones. Contrary to the picture, its not wide enough for tablets (unless you have a very small ipad). **Q: doesn't this make your legs go numb after awhile?** A: I use the lapdesk for a keyboard and mouse (as opposed to a laptop). I need a mouse to do my work so I needed the extra width to accommodate both the laptop and enough room to move the mouse. It's comfortable to use directly on my lap, across the arms of a reclining chair, or even on crisscrossed legs.The ventilation holes are a nice addition to keep my laptop cool. It's extremely sturdy, able to hold my 7.5lb laptop and mouse without a problem. It's very convenient to be able to carry my workstation around the house.I love this desk and definitely recommend it! ### ⭐⭐⭐ Needs work, but is your best friend after a touchup *by S***N on July 20, 2018* It's large, and easily holds my 15'7" laptop. Venting kind of helps but honestly just get a cooling pad to assist with this.A lot of people reported that splintering can happen, but simply run a damp rag over the entire thing to catch any excess wood. You can also sand it if you're extra paranoid.Another issue is the mousepad. It's a freaking joke. Just add your own mousepad to this and just enjoy that instead. This mouse area can't reliably keep the mouse movements flexible simply because it stops a lightweight mouse dead in it's tracks if it hits the left or right too much. That is aggravating as hell.So yeah, it has some work that needs to be done, but after that's done? I'd say this is one of the best in terms of durability.
