It is mostly made from metal and does not bend or creak like some cheap plastic mounts on the market. This is the "plus" model which accommodates bigger size phones such as my iPhone11 (with case) perfectly. At the rear there is a small ball head - again all metal - which allows seamless orientation between portrait and landscape modes with minimum of fuss. The base plate is Arca Swiss type and has ΒΌ and 3/8" threaded holes for tripods. You can also use the mount as a desktop stand and is fairly stable. The only minor negative is the high price which is around 4 times a typical plastic one. But then if you have an expensive phone its probably wise to invest in a good quality mount such as this. Things I love about this tripod mount are:β€’ The base dovetails with Arca Swiss QR clampsβ€’ It has both ΒΌ and 3/8" threaded holes for tripods.β€’ The clamp for the phone is secureβ€’ It has a ball joint at the phone clamp to position the phone where you want itβ€’ It comes in a great range of coloursMy phone was expensive, very expensive and I simply would not trust a cheap mount to keep it secure on a tripod.
