The color is lighter than I'm accustomed to seeing compared to Sonoran Spice Company product, which made me doubt the product's efficacy. Upon opening the container, the aroma and heat level is unmistakably potent. There's a noticeable amount of seeds that make up the weight, but the product quality remains decent. The price for 8 ounces is unbeatable, and is plenty for food challenges or pranks for years to come. I like to use it in homemade beef jerky, chili, and pizzas.
