Because they are PVC/Synthetic, they don't require daily polishing. A quick wipe with a damp cloth (or a bit of shoe cream) makes them look brand new in seconds. They are also quite water-resistant for light rain. Fit & Comfort: The Velcro straps (SCHV model) are high-quality. They stay strong even after hundreds of uses, making it easy for kids to put them on independently. The inner lining is padded enough to prevent shoe-bites.
