Grip when filled with liquid is good. Grip above line of liquid feels less secure but cup does not collapse and critically the top does not pop off. Top has both sip and straw locations which is a really nice choice. Top easily snaps on securely with little effort but surprisingly secure. Cup can be gripped by the top, held at top and supported by bottom, and best if gripped where there is liquid. Surprisingly, so far cup can also be gripped above liquid with a little give but without crushing and without spilling. Initially thought cup plastic might be too thin but have not had a problem with spilling.
