Being a Shih Tzu, she suffers from the unfortunate breed curse of catastrophically itchy skin. And when she gets a haircut, it triggers an absolute crisis. She gets covered in angry red blotches and itchy patches, prompting her to give me a look of such pure, unadulterated disdain that it could wilt a prize-winning orchid from twenty paces. Before this spray, post-grooming nights were a miserable game of roulette with the dog gods, listening to her furiously scratch herself into oblivion while the entire household lost sleep.​We tried everything.
