This switch runs warm, but I feel like the stories of it getting extremely hot are a little exaggerated. I would just make sure its not directly covered up and do not place things on top of it.

The Zyxel XMG-108 is simple to setup and the SFP+ port connected to the Zyxel XGS1250-12 using the H!Fiber Green SFP+ Cable, 10G SFP+ DAC at 10G without issue. This switch runs warm, but I feel like the stories of it getting extremely hot are a little exaggerated. I would just make sure its not directly covered up and do not place things on top of it.
