Water would seem to be a good idea, including for storage considerations. But we will be purchasing a light duty hose and pushing it through the tube instead (PITA). We will place an after-market hose fitting on the end we push through to seal in water, and leave the OEM fitting on the other side. We can then buy caps for both ends (with an appropriate adapter). Storage will be an issue, but we don't see a better option.I would have paid much more for a real quality water tube at bottom.We purchased black as it is less visible and you can see through it easily. ### ⭐ Great for use as a sprinkler or if you want to water your grass, deck, or patio *by Y***M on Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2020* If I could give it zero stars I would. If you think this is an item you can set up, fill with water, and then relax and enjoy the day, you have another think coming. I purchased this in preparation for the summer (shame on me). I was so excited, got it all set up, filled it with water, and realized my error. If you would like to somehow attach a hose to it and use it as a sprinkler to water your lawn, this is the thing for you! The tubing that holds the water is made of the skimpiest vinyl/plastic material. The off brand ziploc baggies you buy are heartier than this. It came with 4 holes in the tubing (so if you DO decide to purchase, ensure that you also purchase some inner tube patches as you will need several. If you live anywhere there's a bit of wind that moves the tubing a tiny bit, you will find new holes in the tubing every day. You will also have to refill it every day. I emailed the seller and never received a reply. Don't waste your money, make sure that you look for one that has the bottom encased in a liner or something. $70 down the tube, literally. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome item, just as described. *by E***A on Reviewed in the United States on August 15, 2018* Awesome!
