How many grams of spice is this? How much wors will it make? thanks Alison** A: I don't measure when cooking but used half the bag for two kilos of meat **Q: Hi, this will be my first time making boerewors will I need to add vinegar or red wine like in some recipes or do I just use your spice mix on its own** A: I think it is a matter of personal taste. To me, vinegar is an important ingredient, but I use white vinegar, not balsamic, which I believe is more authentic - the Voortrekkers didn't have balsamic - but the quantity is then a bit different ! I also use a bit less of the spice mix and add some salt, coarsely ground coriander and rusk.
