Soft and larger than any "toddler" blanket I've been able to find. I need a light weight breathable blanket for my almost 2 year old. She tends to sleep on the hot side at night and gets sweaty easily. I think this will fit the bill. I am a little bummed that it shrunk so much after being washed. I admit I didn't measure it before putting in the wash and I wish I had. I feel like I washed and dried it appropriately since I know muslin tends to shrink. I took it out of the wash and it measured 49X44 inches. Still larger than her old blanket, but I wish I didn't loose the 2-3 inches all the way around.
