I wiped down the location of placement in my truck, with 91% rubbing alcohol. A few times to make sure the surface was 100% free from any lingering waxes (dash wipes) or oils. So far the holders are solidly adhered to the dash. They have held both my hand held radios and the mics with no issue. I am offroad quite a bit every month. Plus 2.6 miles of dirt driveway daily. So far, so good on hold. They fit my use just fine. I do recommend this product as far as from the time I ordered it.
