Amazon would not post my last review attempt. The Nose Thorn was well made of durable plastic. The "wing nut" secured the devise to the nose. I had "marginal" success, however, I will take some of the blame for not putting the Nose Thorn on properly or tight enough. However, I had one calf that had the Nose Thorn securely on who would turned her head to the side to nurse.
