I know that happens with glass but the padded sleeve didn't do much to protect it. Otherwise, a fantastic bottle! The water stays wonderfully cool, and the strap is fairly sturdy. It's a little slippery, as it is like a ribbon, but it stay attached well. The labels really encourage me to drink more water, which is great!I ended up replacing the bottle because I loved it so much. But I bought the one with the silicone cover, and kept the neoprene cover from the broken one. I'm using both covers to double the protection.Whatever you do, just try not to drop it from too high up. The neoprene has such a STRONG SMELL that all you smell is chemicals when you drink from the bottle.
