I have tried it and that is what happens. In a water pipe it is fine as it all washes away naturally. **Q: I have a ring that snapped and i want to fix it, i can still wear the ring but the part where it snapped pinches the skin. can i use it on jewelry?** A: This would likely corrode the ring badly.
