I bought it trying to get a weighted plush that gives the feeling of hugging you. While I will say it feel slightly different than a hug from a person, it is wonderful and comforting. The weight really does trigger something similar to hug or interaction with an person/child. The weight is centered more in the abdomen, with some in the limbs as well. The one I received has a slightly different face than the photos (so some variability in quality control on centering the facial features), but she is adorable and unique.
