I purchased these for one half of an exterior french door that didn't need a latch, but I wanted a matching handle to the other half that did. For that purpose, it worked really well. There are two really small downsides to this, because of the way it connects to the door, there are a few screws that differ from the handles of the same style that are not dummies. It isn't a huge thing, but I really like consistency, so the small difference was noticeable to me. I also just found it a little irritating that I couldn't order the right and left handed dummy levers in a pack for both sides of the door. Again, no biggie but it would be great if this option was available.The look and quality are perfect - if you need a dummy lever, you really can't go wrong with this. It has stood up to a ton of rain and still looks brand new.
