We had to watch how much we put in it because it would be heavy when full. It folds really small for the suitcase and I didn't worry about bring sand home with the mesh bottom. It looks the same after a week at the salty sandy beach and pool as it did when we unwrapped it. I even used it a few times for swim lessons at the pool for the wet towels and suits and it's great for that too. I used the little inner pocket for the room key card and some $, and the outer pockets for the lotions and stuff.
