It looks maybe a little 'bland' in that there's not much frill around it though there is an abalone circle around the sound hole. The main thing that sets this above the Luna is the sound quality and the power of it. I put it through my Roland AC amp and the Ashbury gave out a lot more volume without having to up the volume. The sound is nice and even, and the range of tones is even and steady without any leaning in either way. So if you're a bit short of cash go for the Luna but if you can spare the extra £20/£30 that this will cost you then I would go for this one as the extra power in the volume will put you in a better stead than having to crank stuff up when you need the volume. I would say that unplugged the Ashbury is marginally better as well..and at the time of writing this the ashbury is cheaper than the Luna ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brilliant! *by M***B on 10 May 2017* My replacement ukulele arrived this morning (see my original review below) and I have to say that it has been worth all of the waiting and frustration! Beautifully made and finished, with a lovely tone, nice playing action and excellent amplification. All this for a little over £200 - more than £100 less than you will be able to find it in any music store. At this price it is an absolute bargain. I am delighted with it!!Original review - I Having waited for over three months after ordering for this instrument to arrive I took delivery today, only to find that the electro pick-up does not work! Very disappointing indeed. The instrument appears to be very well made and is very attractive to look at, but poor quality control has let it down completely.I am returning it for exchange - let us hope that the replacement performs better! ### ⭐ do not be tempted *by N***C on 18 May 2013* Item arrived well packaged and insulated from danger in its own zip case. The instrument itself was very well finished, beautiful wood and gloss varnish, this was my first impression. As for the ukulele, I really wanted one that would offer a fuller sound with more sustain than my four string uke from Barnes & Mullins. The Ashbury AU-65E Tenor Ukulele is a disaster. The neck was warped upwards meaning there was a 8mm gap along most of the length of the fretboard resulting in the action being too high and therefore unplayable. It would not even be possible to tune this in any realistic fashion. The machine heads were also slipping. What more can I say. I am extremely disappointed.Having handled the ukulele for three minutes,was all it took before I realised it wasn't worth bothering with. Steer clear of this one and save your money for something else.
