You only need partial travel of the handle to lift, this may be obvious to you, but with shorter travel, you will have an increased quantity of strokes needed to reach your desired height. Item descrip says 19 1/4" but the "marketing" section lower on the page says 18 1/4"...need 19+.** A: 19 1/4 is the 2 ton. The 18 1/4 is the 3 ton. I have the 2 ton and measured max height from the ground to platform...it measured 20 1/4".
