They've been pretty comfy this whole time with good padding around the ankle, The sole is still going strong, with just the usual wear. Nothing is wearing through on the sole or upper...and all the sewing and glued areas of the shoe remain in good condition. I could get another year out of these shoes easily. Review: Well worn and going strong! - These whitins are my favorite barefoot/zero drop/wide box shoes. I currently own 3 pair, and gave a 4th pair to a friend. My wife has 2 pair as well. I've tried the mesh version and didn't like it as much. I felt the mesh style fabric didn't hug my foot right, and always ended up binding at the laces. These canvas models are the way to go. I actually like them better the more worn in they get. I've also found that washing them helps loosen them up a bit and makes them fit more snug and comfortably. Out of all the pairs I have, I wear this brown pair the most. Almost daily wear for over a year and they're still holding up without any structural issues or failures. I've worn them at the gym, and they work well for squatting and other exercises. I'm not a huge fan of running in barefoot shoes though. However the more I wore them the more I realized the right shoe is 1/2 size too small. Tire begins to hurt after walking long distances. I first wore them without socks and they were very comfortable but too many complaints from my wife that they’re smelly. Not a problem for me since Covid 2020, her nose still works. When I put on socks the right shoe fits tight.
