I learned at an early age that solder can drip off the iron and bond with wood and damage the polyurethane coating on many surfaces. A towel or cloth, or even a paper towel will provide some protection, but a silicone mat like this takes soldering to a new level. This is a generously sized mat, complete with several indentations where you can place screws and other parts to keep them separated. This feature is understated and has proven to be almost as valuable as the protection that the mat provides to your surfaces. There's also the fact that the smooth, blue background makes seeing your solder joints and components a little more easily, compared to a textured wood or towel background as was the case with me for most of my life. The silicone does not burn easily, although I haven't actually held my iron to it for more than a second or so and there was no scarring, melting or burning of the surface. This comes with an electrostatic grounding strap for your wrist, and a couple tweezers for picking up parts. Neither is of exceptional quality but are still nice additions to this. **Q: Can i use this to work on a PC morther borad**
A: It can be used for working on electronics as this is the purpose of the mat.  You will need to wear a ground strap though to guard against ESD though.  Since this is not conductive, it can hold a static charge.  The magnet embedded in the top right corner needs to be taken in consideration as some memory components can be damaged or erased by these magnetic sources.

Bottom line though is "yes" it is good for working on system boards.

**Q: This magnetic mat is stiff, or flexible?**
A: Very flexible, bendable. Soldering magnetic mat can improve your work efficiency

**Q: is it mat anti static?**
A: There is not a ground wire to ground this mat. It probably would not do much good if there was. When I touch the probes of my ohm meter to the mat at a millimeter or two apart, I get an infinite reading. Therefore, I do not think the mat can be considered anti-static. It is non-conductive. It will not ground you. If you are working on sensitive electronics, I think you will still need a grounded wrist strap.

The Kaisiking 180 is HUGE! It came with a couple of really nice tweezers that will save my finger tips from getting burned and a anti-static wrist cord, that I am bad at using. I really like that it has several recessed areas for placing the parts you are working with so they do not get lost or disorganized. A couple recessed spots are magnetized and do work ok. Its a great addition for my work bench and happy I got it. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up!
