They have not gotten in since!!!!! I combined the steel wool with small sponge squares soaked with peppermint and clove essential oils and traditional mouse traps. I didn't trap any mice and there is no evidence of mice - droppings, etc - I think it is the steel wool that is keeping them from getting in. It will not rust and decompose in a few months like regular steel wool. The extra cost is made up in the need for less and no rusting and mice breaking in when that happens.
