This is basically an upgraded version of the plastic big-gulp cups from back in the day, and that's exactly what I was hoping for. It holds the same amount of drink as a nalgene bottle. It doesn't overly-absorb odors or taste like plastic... and I have pretty sensitive taste buds to that sort of funk. The handle is comfortable, thick, and has a nice little spot to rest my thumb. It's got a wide base, so my cat doesn't knock it over onto my keyboard whenever he jumps up onto the desk... but the trade-off is that it won't fit in a car cup holder. The lid snaps on securely, but yeah, if you tip it sideways or upside down it WILL leak. It's not super-insulated, but if you want that, I think you would get a steel insulated cup instead. This is just, frankly, a joy to carry around the house and sip on throughout the day.
