The lip on the side especially helps so no water gets out. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect add-on to a kitty fountain! *by M***N on February 1, 2019* I bought a kitty fountain (actually the one picture with the flower on top) and my cat LOVES it. But he also loves making a mess. He dribbles water everywhere, and I have the fountain out in the living room, separate from his food & water dish in the kitchen. I'm trying to encourage him to drink more water. It works! Only, like I said, he is a dribbler and I don't want water on my hardwood floors and I didn't want to lay down a towel which would look bad and get musty and gross. Voila! Enter this handy tray, which sits right underneath the fountain and while the occasional drop might escape to the floor, it's rare. This tray catches most every drop and is spacious enough to hold a dish of food if you need it for that, or to drop a few treats on. It can also catch the crumbs. It's easy to pick the whole thing up and give it a rinse or a wash when it needs it. (I'm not sure about dishwasher-safe because I don't have a dishwasher, but it looks like it would be - it's sturdy plastic). Lastly, it's cute!
