Let me just say up front that my experience with it is for airsoft. This red dot is a great compact unit. The glass is clear, even with the killflash attached, and the dot is bright and easy to acquire. I have been very impressed with the build quality. It is very robust and well put together. The controls do not feel mushy and are easy to operate with gloves. Easy to adjust for windage and elevation without additional tools, just use the caps. For airsoft, I can’t recommend this highly enough. It is the perfect combination of cost and performance, and the extras is the icing in the cake. Usually its tough to find all of the accessories that this comes with out of the box. The kill flash is the big one for me, but to also have flip up covers, two mounting options, extra batteries, and a nice case really sets this sight apart from its competiton. I like how it looks with the slightly slanted back (or forward depending on how you mount it to the sight) riser rather than the typical straight up and down riser most sight come with.It comes in a plastic small latching box filled with foam with the red dot sight, a regular cowitness mount, the riser mount, 3 total CR2032 batteries (one is preloaded in the sight), a cleaning cloth, the instructions, a small hex Allen key and a torx Allen key for changing the mount and attaching the mount, a set of shorter screws that are for the taller riser mount, and also the killflash attached to the sight and two spring loaded flip up friction fit lense covers.The riser sits at the perfect height so my airsoft mesh mouth guard over my cheek has a good cheek weld that rests perfectly so my eye is level with the sight, I don't have to hunch over or bend my head much at all to see clearly with the mesh face guard on.One issue I found (at no fault to the sight) is that I have discovered I have an astigmatism. The dot to my eye is made up of a clump of dots slightly scattered but it isn't that bad at all when I aim down the sight and look at targets off in the distance and having the brightness not cranked up of course, so now I have to go get my eyes checked and/or in the future get a proper holo sight instead (since those don't get affected by astigmatisms).If you want to see if your sight is defective or if you have an astigmatism (if you don't already know like me) you can look at the laser and rotate the sight. If the dots don't rotate with it and it stays in the same spot in reference to your head then it's your eyes and not the sight / laser. This red dot is on a Remington V3 short barreled semi-auto. Four outings with this red dot installed and it has been reliable and accurate once dialed in. It has kept zero. I have destroyed several other red dots on 12ga's. One died on the 7th shot. This sight has held up to the abuse of the 12ga very well. I prefer a larger reticule but have gotton along just fine with this one. I can recommend this item.
