They are not. I bought this set 4 months ago. The plates cracked in the microwave. The plates and bowls also cracked going from hot to cold like Crystal. The stoneware is very thin- lots of chips and cracks, can even see where areas weren’t completely covered in glaze before going in the kiln. Worst $90 I’ve ever spent! **Q: Does silverware leave marks?** A: Yes. Knives have left marks on the plates, mainly when used to cut food. And spoons have left some marks on the bowls if you use them to scrape food off the walls. Most of the marks become less obvious after being washed. Because of the texture and spots of the paint most of the marks actually look like they belong. **Q: Does this set have any matching coffee mugs** A: This listing from Toril shows mugs in the same design.
