Review: Too tasty - I’m weak and have to keep re-stocking! - The Mountain House chicken and dumplings are so good, that I make them for lunch or dinner and before I know it, I have nothing left for emergency meals. They are so simple to make. I heat water in my kettle or the Keurig, add it to the bag, stir it and wait 10 minutes to dig in. I keep some in my cart or saved for later so that I can jump on them whenever there’s a good price. It’s cheaper, better and faster than Door Dash. I have a hearty appetite, so I eat the whole bag by myself, but I can see where they could make two meals. If I am lucky enough to have any on hand when and if there is no power, I would just add room temperature water and let it soak longer. It would still be tasty and good to eat. They are also perfect to have on hand for anytime you are under the weather and can’t cook.. Review: The best - Mountain House always the best. I've tried them all but every time mountain House comes out on top. ## Features - BEST-TASTING COMFORT FOOD - Made in the USA since 1969, we have been cooking up your favorite comfort food meals and freeze-drying them to create the best-tasting and convenient outdoor adventure meals available. I've tried them all but every time mountain House comes out on top. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Delicious!! *by M***O on 11 June 2024* I bought these for my emergency preparedness kit. I went on an emergency trip to California and just grabbed a few because I was car camping in a hospital carpark to be close to my sister. They ended up coming in very handy. I was very surprised at how good the meals were. It says each packet is two servings, but it was just one dinner for me. Highly recommend for camping, emergency food supply or just a quick meal at home when you don't want to cook. Just add warm water and the freeze dried food reconstitutes and is very fresh. The chicken tastes like chicken and the veggies were bright and delicious. This is the only one I have tried. Can't speak for the other meals they offer. Highly recommend. ## Frequently Bought Together - Mountain House Chicken & Dumplings Freeze Dried Backpacking & Camping Food |6-Pack - Mountain House Beef Stroganoff with Noodles | Freeze Dried Backpacking & Camping Food | 6-Pack - Mountain House Biscuits & Gravy | Freeze Dried Backpacking & Camping Food | 6-Pack --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.hr/products/620635372-btkviseqat-chicken-and-dumplings-freeze-dried-backpacking-and-camping-food](https://www.desertcart.hr/products/620635372-btkviseqat-chicken-and-dumplings-freeze-dried-backpacking-and-camping-food) --- *Product available on Desertcart Croatia* *Store origin: HR* *Last updated: 2026-10-11*
