Because sleeping in a bed makes my lower back hurt when I first get up, I have slept in a recliner and/or hammock for several years. On the occasion that I had to sleep in a bed, I would prop myself up on many pillows, but by morning I'd slipped down to basically a lying flat position. A few nights of this, & I was in agony for a couple hours each morning. I bought this pillow in the hope that I could stay propped up throughout the night. I absolutely love it!. As you can see by the pictures, I have it propped up with other pillows behind it. The second picture shows a pillow I also lay across the pillow to help support my lower back . I'm only 5'2" so I am fairly small. I am able to curl up, flip from side to side, and even stretch my legs out fairly straight. As I said, I absolutely love this pillow. It is allowing me to sleep in a bed again! Review: Great pillow - This is awesome! My husband has osteoarthritis and this makes sitting so comfortable for him! ## Features - Full Body Back Rest Reading Pillow for Sitting in Bed - Folding or U Shaped: It's more than just a reading pillow, fold it as a leg pillow to relieve leg swelling, or as an exclusive backrest pillow to support the back and lumbar.
