This was great to use when I make some asian sour soups.The tamarind powder has the sour flavor I am looking for and it's convenient to use and store away. It dissolves quickly in the boiling soup and was easy for me to add more to reach the flavor I wanted.The bottle came perfectly sealed and I saw no quality issues.It's a big bottle that imparts a great value for the price.This has been a great addition to my pantry spices.

I'm eager to try this in many of the dishes/other uses where I've heard of people using tamarind. I had only heard of a paste before, so this is a new experience for me. A little on the sour side, but that's what makes it so good in a hot and sour soup. Really large bottle, not sure if I can use it all in a reasonable amount of time, but it's worth it for the curiosity factor.

This review is for the GranAroma tamarind powder. This is a really large container of tamarind powder and should last a long time. I like to use tamarind in pork vindaloo and this allows me to add tamarind flavor without adding a lot of liquid, helpful in a recipe like vindaloo where I don’t want it to be too saucy. This is a good powder for anywhere you want to add a sour flavor without a lot of liquid.
