Easy to install on mains IN pipe. It has pipe size adapters to fit the UK and EU standard mains water supply pipe. It functions by the force of water as it flows through the unit to remove the mineral build-up bits from municipal mains to own borehole pump water supply. Bottom has easy discharge valve whenever there is noticeable build-up removed. This will vary by where you live, source of mains water supply, and degree of local sedimentation.
