I read a lot of reviews that mentioned the long post, and how with the screw-back, you couldn't tighten that up. I bought this, knowing that, and having a bajillion little rubber earring backs that would solve that issue. What I found when they arrived, was that it wasn't an issue. The post is maybe a tiny bit longer (less than a mm) than the regular "fake gauge" earrings I wear that also screw together (pictured in the 3rd image).And the earrings themselves are not heavy enough to pull in a way that would dig the back into my ear to make them droop. Maybe I have thicker ear lobes than others. No idea. But it's certainly not a concern for me. They're super cute, catch the light nicely for a gentle sparkle. I've only been wearing them for a few days at this point, but zero issues. The knurled screw backing is nice. The little gem on the end of it is a nice touch. Easy to thread together.
