I think for that you would need to buy one of the bags designed for kayaking , boats , etc , sold on Amazon. **Q: Will a full size (11") ipad fit in the tablet sleeve of the Alta rise 48 (alongside a 14" laptop)?** A: If it is a slimline laptop, you would probably get away with it. Two tablets will fit OK but a tablet with my laptop, no (the laptop is 2.5 cm thick). **Q: On the backpack, the shelf part at the top, is this detachable so you can fit larger lens's in?** A: The very top bit is not detachable, and this is good as there is only so far one can go with velcro. All of the sections below this are detachable. I can happily fit a 2.8 80-200 zoom lens in the base **Q: Will this bag fit a 15 inch MacBook pro? Along with a dslr and a few lenses?** A: Yes. I keep my hp 15 inch laptop along with nikon d5300 with 2 lense and gopro with all the accessories. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great buy *by M***C on 21 January 2022* This bag is really comfortable to carry, sturdy and has lots of room inside for everything I need. The interior segments have hook and loop so you can move them around to whatever size you need. It’s also bright yellow, which means I can easily distinguish all my items which are black. It’s a good depth too. I can put my flash gun in upright so it takes up less space and doesn’t move around. The top section is great for small items and quick access. I keep all sorts in there like filters, gloves, pens, snacks. The front of the bag has 2 padded sections for a laptop or tablet. I have been able to keep a large tablet in there and a bunch of notebooks (the paper kind!). There’s also a small zip at the top which is great for bits like packs of tissues, face mask, lip balm. The handle at the top is very wide and sturdy, one of the reasons I chose this bag and it didn’t disappoint. The side access to the main compartment is very useful. I didn’t think I’d use it because it seemed so awkward, but it’s not at all. It’s actually fantastic and keeps your camera and lens in a good position. I have a travel tripod that I am able to carry with ease on the side of the bag. It’s not the smallest tripod, but still fits without issue. I’m really happy with this bag - and glad I chose it after much debate. These type of bags can be expensive, but I think this one is good value for money in comparison to others. Oh, and it looks nice too! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Comfortable and spacious - recommended *by S***. on 28 November 2020* Did lots of research before buying this bag and am not disappointed. The bag can carry a camera and three lens (70-200, 24-70 and an 85 prime) if necessary, although you have to be strong to carry that amount of stuff over any distance of course!There is an easy access side opening to get at the camera without opening the bag fully which u use all the time. Various pockets and openings mean you can carry a variety of things easily, for example I carry a small waterproof ground sheet in one of the pockets, a small flask and various accessories that I think I may need on a field trip.I use a Manfrotto 55 XPROB which is quite heavy but it goes in the tripod pocket no problem.The yellow inside makes it very easy to find smaller items (eg the hot shoe protector) and the dividers can be altered to suit your own needs.The materials the bag is made from are robust and hard wiring. I had one problem which was the stitching came away on the handle. Despite being over a year old a call to Vanguard had a new one delivered within 3 days - the lifetime warranty really was no fuss or quibble and that means this company is trustworthy and provided excellent customer service if needed.I'd recommend this bag to anybody who needs to carry a lot of camera stuff comfortably, really pleased with it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Compact and comfortable backpack with a couple of drawbacks *by D***I on 21 October 2024* The backpack itself is of excellent quality, great materials and nicely made, really pleasant to touch and use. But there are two drawbacks I would like to mention, that`s why only 4 stars.First, I had troubles with placement of my camera inside :). In description mentioned that it should suit pro-DSLR with grip and I have Canon EOS 90D (which is a bit smaller than full frame DSLR) with battery grip attached and with chunky Canon EF-S 17-55 F/2.8. So there was a whole puzzle solution of how to set both long dividers, to accommodate my camera and also to leave places for other lenses. Small tip - first remove all dividers, place camera inside and then only set dividers around the camera. Ok, finally done. The only doubt I still have is possibility to grab my camera from side window and then put it back through it.Second, there are not enough small built-in pouches (only 2 mesh ones) for those small useful things like cables, chargers, spare batteries, memory cards, lenspen, etc. So I had to purchase here on Amazon small electronic organizer bag (sized 24x18cm), which accepted all my pile of small gear, even including speedlight. That bag perfectly sits on the top shelf of the backpack, so I still have 4 empty spaces in the main compartment for additional lenses.
