Compared to other gardening gloves I have, these are more flexible, more breathable, easier to put on and take off, cooler, and easier to clean. They do not shrink after I wash them - I wash them while they are still on my hands, applying soap and acting like I am washing my hands. Then I take them off, wring them out, and lay flat to dry. The leather insides do a very good job of protecting my hands from thorns, even though they are not very thick. They are not 100% thorn proof, but they do a great job overall. These allow me so much more dexterity and comfort that I think its well worth that trade off, and 75% of my gardening is with roses. These are a great value too! I can't possily recommend them more highly!
