The lights are very bright and I don't need the ceiling lights on when this is lit. For an exhaust fan it's not as noisy as most; not totally quiet but not so loud you can't hear anything else. Cleaning the filters was super simple, they have a latch that is easily accessible, and they pop back in just as easily.
