The clipper is 120 volts and it burned after 10 seconds. Do you have the same clipper at 220 volts? **Q: will the whole thing get hot when using it for extensive periods of time?** A: Yes. I think they all do. When they get hot I just put them down for a while to cool off. When you are using the Clippers you can put the little plastic length guide heads on them, and then the hot part will not touch the dog so much **Q: how can I order extra combs to fit this cllipper** A: I think you could contact the company and get parts. **Q: does this work effectively for cats as well?** A: Whisper?
