Being concerned about blisters with new shoes, I wore them at home for about a week with socks, and they were very comfortable. Sizing was perfect. These were basically my 'all-purpose' footwear while on this trip. I wore them on the plane, around the pool, on the beach, hiking thru jungle, cave exploring, boat shoes, city walking. Except for the airplane, never used socks and had zero problem with chafing or blisters. They actually seemed to get softer as I wore them, and I was rarely aware of wearing them - they are light, comfortable, breathe well, adjustable, easy off and on.
