**Q: Will they work if cut in half? My planter is not that deep.**
A: No. The top is specially structured. If you cut it in half, the bottom part will not be same as the top part, unless you use only the top part. 
This tube is for "Deep Root" irrigation. If your planter is shallow, then you don't need it.

**Q: Can i use hydro - spiral tubes as just watering ports without drip irrigation?**
A: They could be used as watering ports depending on how porous the surrounding soil is. Otherwise you would have to amend the location with perhaps a 1:1:1 mixture of sand, compost, & topsoil to be able to take in an immediate watering as opposed to a slow trickle.

**Q: What should be the distance between the two spiral tube for a one or two years old tree**
A: For a younger tree, you may only need 1 or 2 tubes. You can place them equidistant from each other, so on opposite sides, along the drip line.
