Most of the negative reviews was that it wasn’t warm or warm enough. Well, all I can say is that this works for our purpose- which is to dry our big thick bath towels in a windowless bathroom. Don’t expect the towels to be as warm as they come out of the dryer where the constant high heat is trapped. This and similar products are exposed to the ambient temperature in your bathroom which I suspect is colder than the heated towel bars. So if you expect the towels to feel toasty, you will be disappointed. The minute you remove the towel from the bars and fling it around your body, it looses the warmth a lot. I do wish it came in a wider and higher stand-alone (not wall mount) option though.
