## Description

The new Rokinon Cine DS 35mm T1.5 Wide Angle Cine Lens is one of Rokinon's newly introduced 2nd generation of cine lenses under its CINE DS line. The Rokinon Cine DS lineup has 3 primary advantages: 1) All of the gears are unified among all Rokinon Cine DS lenses. The focus and aperture gears are exactly aligned so that the user does not have to re-adjust his/her follow focus when swapping out lenses. 2) The new Cine DS lenses now feature dual focusing scales, one on each side. 3) All of the Cine DS lenses are tested to be color matched to provide the same color & contrast in video production. Two high refractive index elements and one aspherical element reduce chromatic aberrations in order to produce greater sharpness and clarity

This feels much stronger, and heavier than Canon's sub-$500 lenses. 2. Circular aperture results in great bokeh. Highlights and colors stay defined with a smooth blur. 3. Smooth and consistent focus pulls. 4. Lens Pedal locks securely. 5. Double-sided Aperture Readings 6. Nice details, like traction ridges for where you can hold onto the lens to lock/unlock it from the camera 7. Little breathing while focusing (on 5.6 between 1ft-6ft) CONS 1. A bit heavy...but that's to be expected for a 77mm Cine Lens. 2. Blurry wide open, but sharpens just after f/2

Great lens - feels incredibly durable, and very well made. I am impressed by the smooth operation of both the focus and aperture ring. Works great in my follow focus. Picture quality is very sharp with this lens - if you are a film maker on a budget, these are great lenses to get you out there making movies!
