They never leak no matter what volume of liquid I empty into them at night. they have some special material that really absorbs & protects with odor. I used them when I had a hip replacement so I wouldn’t have to get my husband out of bed at night to help me into the bathroom. You don’t notice the wetness that much either, they have some kind of wicking property. It is so wonderful that my husband and I can sleep uninterrupted all through the night. My only complaint which has nothing to do with the diaper is it took so long to receive them. A few years ago I had an ankle replacement & I was able to get them in a couple of days. If you know you are going to need them ahead of time I would order them right away. It took me 8 days to get them last time. I have tried many other brands & these are the best. They also have adjustable tabs which are much easier to get on and off than the pull on type, which are much less absorbent too. I am 5’ 3/4” & weigh 95 lbs. & wear the medium. & they work fine, although I may be able to wear a small. They are extremely thick and absorbant💦. They are cloth-backed which makes them a little more comfortable, but also potentially prone to eventual soak-through! The only problem I noticed is with the fit. 📏 The lack of elastic causes the rear waistband to droop, even when dry, and I keep having to pull it up! They only come in white so color isn't a factor.
