I had new windows put in and my blackout roller shade wouldn’t fit in the new windows. I ordered this product and my room is blacker than night! I came back to order for all the bedroom windows. I gave myself about 2 inches extra fabric around all the edges. Easy to measure and cut. You initially peel and stick the thick round magnets on the window frame - try to mount as close to the edge of your window / wall. You are then supposed to peel and stick the thinner round magnets and place on fabric - but don’t do that. Instead mount the thick magnets, then use the thin magnets on the outside of the fabric to trap the fabric between the magnets - this way if you want to adjust the tension of the fabric you can easily adjust, and if you want to take the fabric out of the windows it’s easy. The mounted heavy magnets stay. I am going to size the fabric for my guest room and put up the magnets but not the fabric until needed. This was super cheap compared to blackout shades. I have pull-up slat shades that always hang down in front so you don’t see the blackout fabric when they are closed. My room was cooler within 10 minutes of putting up the fabric in my west facing windows.
