The box is sturdy & the deck sits in two compartments beneath the book but the cards sit nicely flat. The artwork is contemporary, which many people might find easier to relate to, compared to less contemporary traditional decks. Images are very detailed & full of symbolism. Poppy Palin knows her Tarot. The layout of the book means that each card has a double page spread, no turning pages to continue reading - why aren't all books produced in that way? Overall excellent. The cards have diverse themes and cultures and add a few delightful twists on things E.g. I find the cards easy to read (even as a relative beginner) and beautiful to look at and hold.
