## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the filter adapter used for?**
A: It allows you to connect lenses and filters of different calibres, which saves the cost of purchasing filters.

**Q: Can the adapters be stacked?**
A: Yes, after stacking, you can make your lens of a certain calibre compatible with different calibre filters

**Q: What do the values on the adapter mean?**
A: The number on the front of the adapter is the lens calibre and the number on the back is the filter calibre

**Q: Will the autofocus function of the lens be affected after using the adapter?**
A: The adapter ring itself does not contain any electronic components, so it will not affect the autofocus function of the lens.

**Q: How do I choose the right size filter adapter?**
A: Firstly, determine the aperture of your lens (the number after the ø symbol on the front of the lens, e.g. 58mm), and secondly, confirm the size of your filter (e.g. 77mm), and you can choose a filter adapter ring from 58mm-77mm.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Threads and sizes were accurate. Good build quality.
*by L***S on 25 September 2025*

This item is a set of two step-up rings. I now know the dimensions, and the terminology (step-up / step-down) work from the camera outwards, i.e. towards the subject. They arrived in a sealed package, with the description clearly shown, so I could check it was the correct item before opening. Each of the two rings was packaged separately in a clear plastic bag, and their dimensions are clearly marked in white text against the black anodised surface. I will NOT mix these up easily. There is also a vacuum packed microfibre cloth. The whole set is in a larger plastic storage box, which is very robust. The threads on the rings, both internal and external, have been manufactured to acceptable tolerances, and fit my filters and lens with reassuring precision. The after sales support is exemplary, with replies in less than one working day, from a named individual.
