I remodel entire houses, but this dang gate had me extremely frustrated. The instructions were not clear and all the parts look very similar. The measurements are ridiculous (i.e. 5.65")I gave up putting it together after 2 hours.A week later, it's still not assembled.*UPDATE*This didn't even last two weeks. Absolute garbage. All of the "seams" sepatated where the dowels are.Then it eventually just broke off the wall completely.I bought this to keep my small dog in the kitchen area of our house. First the gate was too high, the gog could easily slip under it.Then, the doweled connection points kept separating from the tension.After one week, the hinges on the swing side of the wall rotated downward from pointing up to pointing down, but this ended up being a "blessing in disguise" because it removed the large gap between the floor and the gate. The gate now rested on the floor. However, because of this it now no longer lined up with the locking mechanism on the other wall (4" too short). So we just didn't lock it and treated it like a "saloon door".One more week later, the door was being swing open (admittedly aggressively by my 5yo) but not slammed... just normal 5yo without a care in the world swinging it open and the bracket on the Hinge side completely snapped from the screw (the hardware is all plastic).In conclusion, nit only was this the absolute most frustrating thing I've ever assembled, but it was garbage from day one.
