I love decorative ornaments around the house. Something that lights up as well is a real plus for me. So without hesitation I ordered this flower dome.It arrived in a rather plain white box but was well protected inside by polystyrene inserts. The glass dome is further protected by a plastic shell that has to be peeled off. The LED lights are pre-installed inside the dome but left wrapped in a circle. It's left to you to place the lights as you want and I found a general random layout looked the best. There are twenty lights altogether.The rose flower is very realistic as are the leaves and fallen petals. I really can't fault them in any way. The dome is made from glass and not plastic, so it looks bright and shiny. The base appears to be made from real wood with three little feet. The quality is good.The LED lights, however, do seem to be an afterthought. Sure they look really good and there is a wide range of effects from steady to flashing and fading. However, the effects have to be selected using a button on the USB plug. Unfortunately, this function has no memory so you need to select your favourite mode each time you turn it on. This is a shame in my opinion and not as convenient as it could have been.
