The only reason for four stars is something is slightly out of round here, I don't know if it is my filters, the camera itself or this adapter. When I screw filters on, they go on easy, then tend to want to bind, then easy again, like I said, I don't know if the adapter is even the problem. I first purchased a plastic adapter ring that easily broke the second time I used it. I went back to Amazon looking for the same thing made of metal and found this product. It is precision-made, fits snugly at the front of the camera lens and after being put on correctly, only comes off when intentionally removing it. It readily accepted my UV filter and lens hood (see picts.). The camera lens still zooms in and out as it should. For about the same price as a plastic one, this product in great! I like how the manufacturer stamped the side of the ring with the size and the camera it fits. It is better than the plastic ones but is more difficult to attach to the camera. However because it is metal and maintains it shape it is easy to screw filters onto it. With the plastic one I had It was somewhat difficult to screw the filter but it was easier to screw the plastic on the camera. So I purchase one adapter plastic adapter per filter. While on vacation the adapter hit the car door and cracked. I had to supper glue the adapter together a number of times during that 3 weeks. That is why I choose to try the metal one even though the reviews talked about it being harder to get on.Just be careful you are not into the bayonet connector on the camera all the way and then apply the pressure require to attach it. Once it is attached you will find that all of your filters will screw on and off easily.
