Very safe and secure but if someone broke into my property they would pick up the box and take it away from my home with my cash and jewelry inside. I drilled two holes in the base, and used bolts and nuts to secure it to the the inside of my wardrobe shelf. The burglar would have to break the shelf which would make lots of noise, or bring spanners to unscrew the nuts. I've made it safe and secured it for peace of mind.
